Meet Your Practioner

My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection, safety, and honoring your body’s innate wisdom. I recognize that healing can be challenging and, at times, uncomfortable, and I meet you with compassion and respect for your unique journey. While I cannot do the work for you, I walk alongside you—offering steady support, helping illuminate patterns and possibilities, and providing practical tools to navigate the path forward. I create a warm, nonjudgmental space and draw from somatic and emotion-centered approaches, integrating mindfulness and self-compassion to support lasting change. At the core of my work is the belief that you already carry an inner healing wisdom; my role is to help you reconnect with that part of yourself so you can heal, grow, and live more authentically.

MY APPROACH
MORE ABOUT AMANDA
Amanda Smith, MS, LMFT, CST
she/her
Outside of my work as a therapist, I’m someone who’s deeply curious about the world and the people in it. I love to travel, enjoy good food, and am always reading or learning something new. Spending time in nature is especially grounding for me—whether that’s hiking local trails or camping under the open sky—and it’s a big part of how I stay connected, regulated, and present in my own life.
My path to becoming a mental health provider
My path to becoming a mental health provider began as part of my own journey of healing. Along the way, I developed a deep interest in holistic approaches that honor the mind, body, emotions, and spirit. I’ve worked in private practice and trauma-informed spaces, supporting clients through anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. These experiences taught me the importance of safety, connection, and integrative care. I now specialize in somatic, body-centered practices that help clients release stored trauma, build self-trust, and reconnect with their inner wisdom. I’m honored to walk alongside others on their unique paths to healing.
How I continue learning and building new skills
I believe a healer can only take you as far as they’ve walked on their own healing path, so I prioritize my own therapy, meditation, and self-care to deepen my understanding. I actively pursue continuing education, focusing on trauma-informed and somatic approaches. Currently, I’m a student of the Somatic Experiencing® model, which enriches my body-centered work. I’m passionate about expanding my skills in nervous system regulation, attachment healing, and integrative therapies to better support clients in their unique journeys toward wholeness.
What to know about working with me
Trauma isn’t just in the mind—it’s stored in the body, too. By combining body-centered techniques with emotional processing, we'll work together to release patterns that keep you stuck. You can break free from emotional pain caused by attachment wounds, build self-trust, and feel confident in your worth and and your ability to experience connection without fear. Through somatic practices, we’ll tap into your body’s wisdom to release tension, uncover emotions, and process trauma safely and sustainably. This approach supports emotional regulation, deeper self-awareness, and secure connection. I know how isolating invisible wounds can be. You're not alone. I’ll walk with you at your own pace as you reclaim peace, connection, and wholeness.
