For Clinicians
My supervision style is systemic, relational, and collaborative, grounded in an attachment-based lens that honors the impact of early experiences, relational dynamics, and cultural context. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and work from a stance of cultural humility, striving to create a space where both supervisees and their clients feel respected and supported across identities, backgrounds, and relationship structures.
My approach is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and incorporates Somatic Experiencing (SE) to support embodied healing. I believe in a holistic, integrative approach to therapy, drawing on multiple modalities to foster growth, resilience, and authentic connection. Together, we’ll explore how to bring these approaches (and others that resonate with you) into your work in a way that feels authentic, embodied, and clinically effective.

Primary & Secondary Supervision for MFT & CPC Interns in Nevada
I prioritize self-of-the-therapist work, supporting clinicians in developing greater self-awareness and emotional attunement, working with countertransference and therapist “parts,” and building capacity for presence, regulation, and connection in session. I strongly encourage participation in your own therapy as you move through your clinical training, as it is one of the most powerful tools for growth as a therapist.
I am an AAMFT Supervisor Candidate, currently completing the requirements to become an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. As part of this process, I receive ongoing mentorship of my supervision, ensuring a high standard of ethical and clinical guidance.

Together, we can explore case conceptualization through an attachment lens, refine interventions for working with dissociation, and develop strategies for addressing preverbal and developmental trauma. Consultation is collaborative and experiential — designed to expand your clinical confidence, sharpen your attunement, and support you in working with complex trauma in a grounded, embodied way.

Amanda Smith is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice since 2020, specializing in trauma-informed care for individuals and couples. She is passionate about working with PTSD, complex PTSD, dissociation, and early attachment wounds, and brings a deeply attuned, integrative approach to healing.
She is a Certified EMDR Therapist and an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, offering expertise in trauma, relational dynamics, and intimacy. Currently advancing through the Somatic Experiencing® training program, she has completed the Advanced 1 module and is actively working toward SEP certification. Somatic Experiencing® is the foundation of her clinical work, shaping how she understands and supports nervous system regulation and trauma resolution. Her approach also draws from Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy (she is trained through Core Skills), and an attachment-based framework.
Amanda is LGBTQIA+ affirming and works from a stance of cultural humility, striving to create a welcoming and inclusive space for clients of all identities and relationship constellations. She weaves mindfulness, mindful self-compassion, and—when appropriate— a spiritual or transpersonal perspective into the therapeutic process. She also offers integration support for clients navigating psychedelic and plant medicine experiences.
As a consultant and supervisor, Amanda supports clinicians in expanding their work to include a more embodied approach to healing—one that integrates mind, body, emotion, and spirit. Her style is warm and collaborative, grounded in the belief that ongoing growth, embodied presence, and reflective practice are essential to effective and ethical clinical work.
